why the city?

In 2007, half of human population already lived in cities of more than a million people, which consume more than 80% of planet’s natural resources. What is more, they are responsible of 75-80% of CO2 emissions, being the main cause of global warming.

We can state that cities have managed to be part of the problem. However, they are not part of the solution yet. The struggle for solving this crisis lays, in fact, on urban territory, rather on the improvement of what we have than on a promised sustainable development.
