Vira-lata_Locomotiva project by Moradavaga studio

A scaffolding tower stands in the corner of a public space recovered, serving  as pedestrian access and communication tower. This installation is part of the “Locomotiva project”, which seeks to transform an old parking into a public plaza.

This intervention aims to encourage residents to interact with this new space. Thus, the architects designed a facade made of recycled cans painted yellow, the color of the trains arriving daily to the close Sao Bento Station. These tins can be rotated to display different messages resembling the panels of the stations. Ephemeral and recycled, this installation can be reused in another location or for another purpose.
